Tuanh P. Smith, DDS
I earned my dental degree from the University of Washington and have been practicing in this North Seattle neighborhood since 1999. Over the years, I have enjoyed the privilege of treating entire families with members of all ages — many of whom have been with us since we first opened our doors! With my patients, I embrace a partnership in achieving optimum dental health and comfort. Prior to becoming a dentist, I earned my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University in California and my master’s degree from University of Idaho. I worked as an engineer for a large technology development company while continuing my passion for learning. Once I got a taste of the biological sciences, I was hooked. With the encouragement of my family, I made the decision to change careers and devote myself to dentistry. I am so thankful for the support of my family and friends, because I love the practice of dentistry, especially the direct contact with all my wonderful patients.

I have been working in the dental field for 20 years and with Aurora Dental Care since 2012. I have lived in Washington all my life and enjoy the diversity of the Seattle area. I enjoy helping patients understand their insurance coverage and seeing them transform their smiles with the help of Dr. Smith. In my free time I like to hike, swim, travel and spend time with family and friends.

I graduated in 2017 from dental assisting school and have been working at Aurora Dental Care ever since. My knowledge in dentistry has been growing since my first day here because Dr. Smith does so many things from simple cleanings to placing implants. It makes me happy to see people’s reactions once their treatment is done because they can see the change right away. I speak spanish and I am glad to help people that need help in spanish. When I’m not working, I like to go hiking when I have
enough time. If I don’t have enough time, watching a movie will make my day.
